Director Steven Spielberg(who started on Schindler's List soon after this wrapped) doesn't seem to make any pretense as to what he's trying to do here,which,I must confess,is a good thing: He wants to make a fast,furious and eye-catching film that is light on characters or even some elements of logic and heavy on emotional and visual obably better as a wide-screen,big screen viewing experience,this is still a keeper,particularly of Mr.S's visual style and excess. You may,like me,also come to appreciate this film with more viewings.
